Venturing into the world of mass communication

Symbiosis Centre for Media and Communication is considered one of the best colleges for Media in India. The college not only provides with theoritical knowledge but also practical knowledge with not just assignments but also Internships and a look into the industry. I was offered a different college as well but SCMC was my priority due to this exact reason. The college allowed me to bring out the most creative version of myself and bring stories to the audience in everyway I can. The admission process was pretty simple. I had to register for the SET exam on SCMC's website after which I was allowed to sit and give the test twice. The test in which I scored the highest out of the two was considered and I was chosen to go to the next stage where I was given a written test and had to write an essay. I started off by applying to IISM for sports management just as a backup as it was the earliest in the year and secured admission after the entrance test. Then I applied to CHRIST college bangalore for mass communication. But I was rejected. I feel it was because my interview didn't go as strongly as I expected. After that I applied to MIT WPU and passed their entrance exam, securing admission. For symbiosis, you are to give SET(Symbiosis Entrance Test) I passed that and then moved on to the next phase which was Personal Interview and Written Test. In written test you are given a prompt relevant to current affairs and are expected to write about it. You are judged on your writing and the selected people move on to personal interview round.
