NPTI Nagpur has well-tuned, full-scope, real time replica simulator of 210 MW fossil fuel fired Thermal Power Plant. The process model of the simulator is based on BHEL-CE.It facilitates training both in the conventional mode of control room operation and also on CRT key board based unit operation.

Hostel facilities were below average with the only the exception of mess food which was above average. For a computer, the hostel has a special lab with specific timing. We were having a playground with sports equipments provided.
