Remarks

My college holds affiliation from the KNR University of Health Sciences,Warangal and also is a recognised institution from Medical Council of India. It is no doubt that the college is one of the best and renowned educational institution.Being a 27 years old institute of medical courses, this college is one of its kind.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course for MBBS degree is quite tough. The exams are conducted into 2 papers -theory and practicals. Each paper has 11 questions that are to be detailed accordingly and it requires sheer hardwork to pass the exams. In the initial years of the course,we have labs but from the 3rd year of graduation we are posted in hospitals in order to gain practical clinical knowledge and learning. In the last year of college we have to compulsorily do the rotatory internship to be really called a MBBS student.

Placement Experience

4

The college has a good placement for Post graduate students however it is quite tough for MBBS students to get placed from the college with high packages. For MBBS students it is much better to study further and get a high pay job then to settle for a low salary job right after graduation.

College Events

4.5

Every year we have an event 'Mitosis' in which various sports events and other cultural events take place and students enthusiastically participate and celebrate their win therafter. The infrastructure of the college is good enough to organise inter college events and competitions to provide an exposure to the students for not only competing but exchanging their bonds of friendship with students from other colleges.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees structure as decided by MCI is followed and it is different for the students depending upon the category they belong to. Category 1 students pay INR60,000 annually, Category 2 has to pay INR 2.5 lakhs annually and for those in the 3rd Category ,the fees is INR5.5 lakhs. However, the fees structure may vary per year according to the changes made in it.

Campus Life

The deccan's campus has always been a great place for me.I personally had really beautiful journey as a student in the college. The place is quite comfortable to adjust to because there is no gender bias or domination from the other gender. We have indoor auditoriums, places for playing sports ,reading books in libraries and every basic facility. Everything is excellent here.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels are good and there is facility of availing AC and Non-Ac rooms for the students. There are also add on facilities of Televisions for hostlers. The mess food is really good and also the place is kept clean and tidy.Even the hostel premises are kept clean and there is proper maintenance done by the college management .

Admission

I took EAMCET and scored good enough to be granted admission for MBBS course. The real thing about the college that made me apply for it was the reputation of the faculty and the management I had heard from my close ones.

Faculty

4.5

The college faculty members are experts in their field .Along with being humble and kind, they are also quite supportive and really helpful whenever the students need them.I am really glad that being a part of Deccan I was able to study under the guidance of such brilliant teachers and professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.
