Speaking about the holistic view of the college,it is a wonderful place to study and build your career.It has proper infrastructure ,excellent facilities for students and has a recognition for being the No.1 Medical college in the state.Being more than a two decade old college,it has the best of everything be it faculty,facilities or placements.
Course Curriculum Overview
Overall,the MBBS course is generally a hard nut to crack for the students.The college exams are conducted annually in the form of theory and practical examinations.Each paper has to be passed separately for getting a good percentage overall.Each set of paper has 11 questions to be attempted.The months of exam are really stressful and hectic for everyone.
Placement Experience
The students who complete post graduation from Deccan get excellent placements with high packages.Those in the MBBS degrees either pursue their further studies or get placed at a low salary job.In last few years,the placement opportunities have been really great and many students have gained a good reputation in their field of practice.
College Events
Various cultural events and sports events are organised by the college under one mega event named 'MITOSIS' in which various colleges compete with each other.It is really enthrilling and full of enthusiasm to be a part of these events as not only does it let students compete but also provides them exposure to polish their creative and cultural aspects.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The college adheres to the fees structure as specified by the MEDICAL COUNCIL of INDIA.It is separated into three sub divisions of seats :- Category A students have to pay INR 60,000 per year,Category B students pay around INR 2.5lakhs each year and the students from the Cateogry C pay a total of INR 5.5lakhs every year .These fees divisions may be different every year according to the college norms.
Campus Life
Spending 5 years here in Deccan have been really great and awesome.From college events to Convocation ceremony all have been really cherishing and memorable.The campus has a good infrastructure ,great facilities and there is no discrimination faced by students here in the college.Everyone is equally treated as a resource by the college management.
Hostel Facilities
The college hostel facilities are really amazing.There are options for students to choose between AC and NON-AC rooms,have television set in their rooms,and also there is freedom given to students.The premises of the hostel are well maintained .The mess has excellent food quality and also there is proper maintenance of hygiene in it.
Admission
I appeared for EAMCET and scored well to get admission in the college.I had heard a lot about the college from my dear ones and I thought why not to build career in a college with such a good reputation in the state.Also,the course I had opted for was really tough and I wanted to study under experts and hence I chose this college as my preference.
Faculty
Faculty of any college play a real role in career building.It is no doubt that the Deccan College has a commendable team of teachers who not only hold expertise in their subjects but also in field experiences .Being supportive and a real guide for students,they are a source of knowledge and learning .
