Entrance Preview

I had written MAT exam and I got 96.7 percentile. This is a deemed university with vast area of covering our topics with nice lecturers to educate us in a understandable way.I also got selected in SSN College ,Hindustan, karunya UNIVERSITY for scholarships.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is nice to cover all basics like mechanical engineering, dsp and all sort of programming knowledge to survive in the software field and to become a full fledged engineer.I always learn all the topics like c, c++, java to get nice exposure on programming so that I want to become a software engineer and now I'm a software engineer.

Internships Opportunities

Yes,but stipends are not there.companies like chk,Sutherland,wipro etc and some other companies have come there to recruit us and many also got offers from them.

Placement Experience

I have got placed in a bps company and they also provided some nice IT companies for us.I was placed in a company for package for 1,88,000 per annum and my friend got placed in Sutherland for 3,00,000 per annum.Companies like wipro also came and recruiting some students and placed the offers.

College Events

There are many programs conducted by college like symposium,south cultural meet,national sports meet and jointly events are also took placed in our college. Our college is like a hub for many college students to participate events in all types and get exposed by their talents.

Fee Structure And Facilities

It is feasible for all. Because we have to pay around 55,000 college fees for every year.every one will opportunity for delayed paying fees and that is also pleasable to all of us. The money we are paying year fee includes book cost( only some books) and then every things.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes students who scored above 900 and 1000 get scholarships and above 1100 for free.in our college all can get scholarships for there eligibility and they itself will help for loan arrangements.I also got scholarships for event participating in other college and I also got stipends for sports meet to participate in other college.

Exam Structure

It was very chilled because we learned New things everyday and lecturers are making us do by own to understand the full concepts. The exam structure is very normal like other colleges,but exams are in CGPA and labs exams are to be done fully to pass in it. We can easily get over it.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.

1.) Placement begins from the pre-final year and we are allowed to apply for companies from the final year. 2.) Around 70% of the class gets placed in reputed companies with an average CTC of 4-8 LPA. 3.) Along with core biotech companies, many IT companies are also hiring students at a very decent package. 4.) I plan to pursue a master's after this course.

Students become eligible for placements in their final year. Many reputed companies like accenture, TCS, zoho, HCL, etc. visited and many of my friends also got placed with a good package. The highest package from my batch was 50lpa in company called motorq. The average package is around 4lpa.

Placement Experience:

The students become elgible for placements right from the 5th semester of their course work. The students who have no standing arrears become elgibile in the first place. There are many companies visiting the college where Infosys, Cognizant, Virtusa are the mass recruiters. The are many other companies like TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. visiting the college placement drive. On overall 90% of students gets placed every year. The highest package of 25lakhs per annum was offered by amazon for 3 students. My plans after getting degree is to get placed in any of the company.

From final year students and 3rd-year students eligible for attending the campus placements in this campus so many companies are there like Wipro, wheels India, so many IT companies in this average package starting as 18000 to 40000 students should have a minimum percentage of 6.80cgpa eligible for placement I completed the degree I got a placement on IT company.

PMIST: Best Private college in Thanjavur

Pros: this college has a well-maintained infrastructure. The surrounding is very good. The teachers are well qualified and supportive of students. They try to help students to the best way they can. Canteen facilities and hostel facilities are also well maintained. Cons: this college lacks in placement offers. Placements are there but they are not satisfactory. Also, the major language used in the college is Tamil though teachers teach in English only it is a little difficult for other state students those who don't understand Tamil. The admission process is smooth. They don't charge anything extra. You can apply for it online as well as offline. This college is one of the best colleges in Thanjavur. Bus facility is also there.
