Our course in the University catered to a lot of different disciplines like chemistry, management, biotechnology, etc. It helped me gain insight and an enhanced perspective towards the horticultural industry.
Placement Experience
The Maharana Pratap Horticultural University is very cooperative towards placement of students. About 70% of our students are able to secure on campus placement because of the active participant by the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee in the university is seen to be very feasible. This seems to be very less when compared to other colleges of Horticulture. The course fees for M.sc vegetable science is Rs. 20000 which is very much affordable for most of the students.
Campus Life
The college offers many extracurricular activities like football, basketball, band group and many more. Annual events, sports, games and many more are organised in the college. The University also helps students get more involvement through all these extra-curricular activities.
Alumni/Alumna
When compared to all other colleges and universities in the state, the alumni network of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University is very much interactive. Alumni people and senior students are helpful in many needs by the first year students and their juniors. They reach out to the University for any support.
Admission
Candidate must have passed B.Sc in relevant stream from a recognised institute / board for admission to postgraduate courses. There is an Ph.D. course also available in the University. Students can join the university by filling the admission form and submitting it to the University. Admissions at Maharana Pratap Horticultural University are offered through the entrance examination (CCS HAU Entrance Test) conducted by Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar.
Faculty
Faculty is very good. Fully qualified Ph.D. teachers having great teaching skills. Excellent teaching quality. Syllabus covered under curriculum is relevant. Teachers provide education for exams purpose the education provided is not suitable for industry.
