Appeared for AIEEE exam . College selection was a simple process. As South India has headquarters of lot many IT companies I chose a safer field of Electronics which would allowed me an entry into Army as well as private.

Curriculum was a mixture of Civil , IT , Industry , Math ,Electronics ,etc . The college provides lots of additional courses such as personality development to prepare you for future interviews .

Lots of students participated in internships at government institutes . The general stipend ranged between Rs 5000 to Rs 7000 . Other students who had plans for MBA used that time to join MBA coaching .

Like mentioned earlier that there are lots of IT companies headquartered in Chennai therefore getting placed was never an issue. Big players like TCS , Cognizant , Capegemini , HCL are regular recruiters at Sathyabama. Package offered by CTS was around 3.25 lacs then.

There were numerous extra curricular activities offered at the college. There were basket ball and lawn tennis courts . Yearly sports meet was held and annual day was celebrated where there was performances by the students.

I did not avail any scholarship or loan therefore cannot comment on the same . Yet there were few classmates whom I know who availed bank loans from banks like SBI and Indian Bank.

The college encouraged students to take part in competitions such as robot building or dramatics . They provided industrial visits in all over South India.

College invites the alumni every year via email . They meet , eat and share all their experiences with the current students. The alumni network is spread all over the world in almost all the industries.

Exams were not very frequent but one had to spend time in college from 8 till 3 . You cannot leave without college bus . There were tests held sometimes in the class but those were just to prepare for the future exams .

Faculty was highly qualified with most of the teachers having masters qualification. They were well versed in English and also very helpful. They were very much approachable whenever students had a problem.
