Being one of the oldest Medical college in the Asian continent ,Goa Medical College and Hospital holds great reputation as an educational institution.The exposure and experience gained while pursuing the higher education in this college is excellent and very helpful for establishing a healthy career ahead.
Course Curriculum Overview
The exams are conducted on the basis of semester and final exams are held after the end of each term.From the total ,final exams account for 65 percentage,internal exams are of 35 percentage and it is required to get 50 percentage in order to pass overall.The exam structure is set by the Goa university and the college bounds to follow all the set guidelines for the same.
Placement Experience
M.B.B.S students have a mandatory 1 year stipend based internship which helps one gain practical experience in the profession.The college has good placements for deserving students.Students from all the departments of the college are provided with these internship opportunities and to practice what they have learned in all these years of graduation.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The course fees is about INR 5.6lakhs for a total of five years and this is quite feasible for students as compared to other medical colleges .Also there are relaxations for students from economically weaker sections of the society who have a wish to pursue their career in Medical field.
Campus Life
The college holds various competitions and events for students to come forward and participate.There are inter college events ,Sports meets and many cultural events organised by the college itself and also by other colleges in which the students enthusiatically participate.There is no gender bias and all students have equal rights in every aspect.
Admission
The entrance test which i cleared was NEET-UG in which my score met the requirements and I was granted admission in the M.B.B.S course.The selection procedure is done online through the scores in the NEET-UG exam and then the students are shortlisted for further reporting in the college for the completion of admission formalities.
Faculty
Excellent faculty members, outstanding teaching skills and also very helpful and supportive.The teachers are really humble in nature and are very understanding.Studying under such professionals had been a blissful experience as a student.There is no match to the expertise and experience they hold in their subject.
