Remarks

Being a part of Dr. Ambedkar College of Commerce and Economics is a really one of the greatest opportunities that I have got in my life. I have learnt everything good that an employee needs to know and also it has helped me in my personality development and with everyone's help.

Course Curriculum Overview

Course of the PhD program is prepared under the review of Mumbai University and with the professors consent to the same. Examinations are conducted in every six months as semester examinations and before that the tests are conducted to check student's ability. Research work is focused more by the students and the assigned projects are given more importance.

Placement Experience

4.5

Placements are quite impressive in Dr. Ambedkar College of Commerce and Economics. In my first semester I was allowed to work as an intern in the University and now in the second year after my exams I will be working as the same. For the students in the fourth semester a fair is organised with all the Universities and colleges with whom the students are ready to work as professor for. With the fair amount of stipend offered placements are acceptable here.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees structure for Ph.D Program in Dr. Ambedkar College of Commerce and Economics is quite feasible as compared to that of the other colleges affiliated to the Mumbai University. I had to pay 14492INR as my first year's fees and have to pay the same amount in my second year. This amount includes all the tuition fees and event fees.

Campus Life

Since I am a PhD student in my first semester I witnessed all the interaction with the professors who have themselves witnessed the PhD program. Workshops and all the practical works are given equal importance as that for the bookish knowledge.

Admission

The eligibility criteria for Ph.D Program is passing a Master? Degree (MA) in Sociology from a UGC recognized University. And since I had passed the same I applied for PhD from Dr. Ambedkar College of Commerce and Economics which is one of the finest College for PhD practice. After the list was out I submitted all my documents and verification was done before allotment of the seat.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty members are very well experienced and who are also researchers in the same subjects. The professors are really helpful in this program and encourage students to work better with their PhD so that in future it can turn to be a beneficial one.

Placement Experience:

During my time the first company that visited our organization was Naukri.com, and feel proud to say that i got placed in the same organization. I am very happy with my placement. But talking about my peers. Number of companies who visited to our institute was compared to low as per our expectations. Majority of the companies who visited the institute were sales based organizations. Very less companies for finance and HR field. This made a difficult call for students.
