Remarks

Vit is a place where you can make or break yourself. There are a lot of activities going on at the campus where you can find your interest and prove your element. Pros: The best college with great infrastructure. Equal importance to sports and extracurricular activities with studies. Hygenic hostels and mess. Cost friendly for what a student achieves after getting into the college. The fest is energetic, lively, and well balanced between entertainment and knowledge, managed by students. A vast library with numerous books and a calm environment. Opportunity for students to take up projects/ college internships in foreign universities under foreign exchange programs. Students' credibility is well acknowledged. Cons: The hostel timings are stringent for girls (for the safety of girls).

Entrance Preview

There are no entrance exams for Bachelors's degree with VIT. The admission process is based on your +2 percentage followed by an interview with the college. Your aggregate should be more than 80% for people to qualify for the interview process. VIT was the best college providing the biotechnology course in the south of India, where I could be close to my home town.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure per year cost around 1 lakh, which included Canteen, Exam fees, tuition fees, medical fees, hostel fees. Exam fees vary from course to course - 500/-Tuition fees vary from course to course- 25,000 - 50,000 Medical fees - 15,000 Hostel fees depend on the type of room taken - single room, double room, four bedded or 6 bedded (bunker beds) Mess: contains Veg food - 4000 and Non-Veg food - 4500.

Campus Life

5

A club to fit everyoneメs interests and clubs to fit everyone on campus, VIT is enriched with these. Student clubs that help students build leadership and team-building skills. The clubs are responsible for the never-ending stream of activities and events that happen in the college. Name Technical, artistic, research-oriented or public speaking, everything and everyone is satisfied here.VIT emphasizes the importance of sports and considers them as an integral part of the curriculum. VIT has a number of centers for physical education and sports activities that help the students maintain fitness and develop a competitive spirit. It provides numerous outdoor playgrounds and indoor courts. Hostel parties are common, but there are rules & timings for the hostel. Nearby bakers can help you get the delicious cake for celebrations. For those who want a change, a variety of hygienic food facilities are available on campus. A popular eating spot is the 600 square meters Food Court, which serves delicious non-vegetarian and vegetarian food at reasonable prices. Fast food outlets are also attached to both the Men's and Women's Hostels.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities are good, very decent, and well managed when compared to other colleges. The washrooms are cleaned twice a day. You have a laundry facility or can do a self-wash in the washing area. Mess food is not delicious but edible enough and prepared under hygienic conditions. The other PG facilities are outside the campus which is too far (would suggest buying a cycle to go around). The general cost would be around 4000 - 5000.

Alumni/Alumna

The VIT Alumni Association has been envisaged to foster a closely-knit network bridging the gap between young budding VITians and the accomplished Alumni.

Exam Structure

There was a quarterly CAT (continuous assessment exams) to prepare the students for the finals and to keep them up to date. The exams had a grading system were S- Outstanding, A above 90%, B -80%, C-75%, D-65% E- 55%. These CAT exams do not include laboratory practicals. It was quite easy to get through these CAT exams if you are attentive in the class, help you a lot in preparing for your finals.

Faculty

4.5

Faculties in the college are from different renowned institutes with great knowledge and vast teaching experience. The teaching is usually done with practical demonstrations or videos projected, which definitely gets you involved in the class.

Specific schedule is not followed in college regarding the academic and co curricular activities. Sudden decisions will be taken by the management which is a bit difficult for the students and faculty too. There were times where faculties are fed up of management rules and decisions.
