It is completely based on FFCS - Fully Flexible Credit System and college allowed me to pick any course which students feel useful and comfortable. So, if you are thinking to do some course, dont worry just apply for this institute because the placements are good enough and you will get good opportunities in top companies.If you are looking for world class facilities you have come to the right place. VIT has very good lab facilities and students are encouraged to use them as much as they can for projects and other non-curricular activities.

The placement & training Center(PAT) believes in mass-placements rather than dream-placements. Although everyone gets a job, deserving ones placed like cisco network academy to get offer more than 8 lacs without any real interview process.

Riviera is VIT Universityﾒs ISO certified annual International sports and cultural carnival. This festival is an endeavor to provide a platform to all individuals to showcase their skills and develop their potential via arts, sports, music, dance, drama, debate or fashion. The four day extravaganza sees participation of students from diverse backgrounds, nationalities and cultures.

Earlier the fee structure was easier to understand but now they have made different slots. Last year there were 3 slots (A, B and C).For slot A the yearly fees was around 1.6L for cse, ece and mech and around 1.2L for other branches. Then there was slot B, i don't know the exact figures but they were about 1L higher than slot A and slot C was again 1L higher than slot B. Your slot will depend on your VITEEE rank. You need to get a good rank to be in slot A and frankly if you are not getting CSE or IT(unless you are super interested in any other branch) in slot B or C, its not worth your money.

VIT is a premier institute not only because of its excellent academic background but also because of its strong inclination towards research and development of innovative technologies. A club to fit everyoneﾒs interests and clubs to fit everyone on campus, VIT is enriched with these. Student clubs help students build leadership and team-building skills. The clubs are responsible for the never-ending stream of activities and events that happen in our college. Name Technical, artistic, research-oriented or public speaking, everything and everyone are satisfied here like arts, literature & technology/outdoor.

The hostel fees is separate and it keeps on increasing every year. It depends on which type of room you choose and then there is the mess charge and it also depends on the mess you opt.

The VIT alumni association has been envisaged to foster a closely knit network bridging the gap between young budding VITians and the accomplished alumni. Our Alumni have made us proud time and again by achieving laurels round the globe and we wish to showcase the same to our entire VIT family.

Under FFCSTM, students choose courses from a 'basket of courses' classified under University Core, University Elective, Programme Core and Programme Elective. Students are encouraged to choose interdisciplinary courses from other engineering schools which will help them develop additional skills. Important courses will also be made available in both semesters for students who require it.

Faculty who are truly amazing, but its a select few and you'd be lucky to have any interaction with them really its a great learning experience. The professors know laughably little about the subjects they teach. More often than not, they refer books of foreign authors and teach the same concepts to students verbatim.
