Remarks
It is a heritage college which lives upto its name and I consider myself extremely lucky to be an alma mater of this great pioneering institution. The Zoology faculty had an excellent ensemble of Great minds who were enthusiastic educationist and have helped me shape my life further on. I shall always be indebted to my teachers for their presence in my life.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum followed that of the university of Calcutta under which this college falls. It was an annual graduate degree. Which was changed to a semester system from the year next to ours which is 2015 batch if I know correctly. The Faculty had very talented teachers and the ratio of teachers to students though less was still pretty well maintained. Teachers taught well and in a strict environment becoming a very good environment for educational prowess.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost of study is exceptionally low with chances of opting for scholarships and Grants as it was a women's government college directly under the West Bengal government. Thus students of diverse backgrounds have the opportunity to study the subjects of their choices. There are campus job offers but these are low in comparison to other institutions.
Campus Life
There is an annual fest and other traditional festivities but it's a very strict environment especially for educational purposes with very restrictive mentalities when it comes to extracurricular activities
