Experience at Hospitality Industry

Placement Experience:

Placement in SRM Chennai was quite fine being from hotel management background I saw many five star hotels coming for campus interview for selecting students and it was in the third year we got placement in the college. The five star hotel which visited our campus were : Hyatt Regency Chennai, J W Marriot, Taj Group of hotels, Starwoods, The Park and The Oberois these were some of the finest hotel which came for recruitment and the hiring was done based on department wise interview that is to say if the student has chosen kitchen as his career then he had to give food trial which included 3 course menu and he or she was selected based on food trial and interview given before. Each department had its own offer to make that is to say that selection was done for hotel operations trainee and management level trainee and these 2 posts were common in the four main departments of the hotel and the average salary offered was 3 to 4 lakhs per annum and it all depend on interview given

Before the final semester, our institution Organize campus interview for the job placement. We get job offers before we finish the final exam. About 99% of students get a job before their final exam. Those who want to go for higher studies will remain without placement

This college is good for education

Placement Experience:

From 5 semesters students become eligible for the placement. Top hotels are visiting for campus placement like Taj, Hilton, ITC, grand Hyatt, and Leela palace. Taj group is providing a package for the general manager is 1000000. 85%of students are getting placed. My plan after my degree is to become an executive chef at the Taj hotel.

My view about CAIIHM

To be frank, there are no such criteria that you should have so much of marks or other CGPA and percentage in your boards and it's enough to have a basic qualification that is a pass mark of 50 percentage to get admitted into this college admission process will be simple and then any complications and everything will be carried out by the head office department admission process is good and there are no suggestions to be mentioned and everything is fine....Read More
