Course Curriculum Overview
The course is well structured and detailed. Bachelor of Science in Sports Coaching is a four year course, spanning eight semesters. The course mainly focuses on coaching methods and theories. The students had to choose one sport to prove their proficiency and evaluation. I chose Football and my journey at the NSU began.
Placement Experience
Since no batch has yet graduated from this institute, there hasn't been any placement. However, the NSU has formed a dedicated placement cell to act as a link between various industries and sports organizations. Numerous organizations from various sectors will be asked and invited by the Placement Cell.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is a little expensive, but the teaching level and the course education makes up for all of it. The fees for the first year was Rs. 93,000 including the hostel and mess fees. The fees for the next three years will be Rs. 76, 200.
Campus Life
Being a sports university, the extra curricular activities majorly involve all kinds of sports. The university promotes inter and intra college sports participation. Apart from this, other events like the Annual Day, Sports Day and various festivals like Diwali and Christmas are celebrated cheerfully.
Admission
Getting admission at the National Sports University was a strict and competitive process. After filling out the online application form, we were given the dates for our Admission Test. The Admission Test includes a written test, a sports proficiency test and a physics fitness test comprising of 100 marks. After getting a good score, I was selected for the final Medical Fitness test and councelling at the NSU.
Faculty
The faculty members have been very supportive. Mr. Anuj Pratap Singh was the most helpful of all, as he helped me learn and grow. Mr. Anuj Pratap Singh has qualified M.P.E, DSC (Football), which is my ultimate goal as well. Under his guidance, I wish to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible.
