Course Curriculum Overview
The course structure is very precise and up to mark. MSc is of 2 years. We follow the semester exam pattern which divides our 2-year course into four semesters, three seasonal tests and an end semester examination which is evaluated externally. Both theory and practical exams are organized. 75 per cent of attendance is compulsory.
Placement Experience
Wipro, Axis Bank, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, Cipla Limited and many other renowned companies have hired students from Sikkim University. Almost 80 per cent of the students get placed every year and 50 per cent of the students are offered internship opportunities.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure is not at all expensive. It's very much affordable for all the students. Underprivileged students are given numerous scholarships to reduce their burden. The fees for MSc is only Rs 4890/- being it a practical subject.
Campus Life
Extracurricular activities are constantly held, students interact with one another which leads to increased learning and performance. Many Workshops and seminars are conducted at our university to address the issues of society. Plays, dramas, music, dance, poetry are an integral part of our college life.
Alumni/Alumna
When I first joined the college, I was so nervous because of the new environment. But when I met my seniors, they made me feel so comfortable. All my seniors are very helpful, generous and kind. They helped me with everything be it with assignments or any other problem.
Admission
The admission process is very easy in Sikkim University. After completing my graduation, I filled an online application form for MSc. An entrance exam was held and on the basis of our scores, we got selected. Only 20 seats are available for the master's degree, so the selection is based on the merit list.
Faculty
Both the teaching and non-teaching staff is very friendly and helpful. They're always there for their students, making the teacher-student bond very strong. The teachers are very well qualified and have a deep knowledge of their respective subjects. We are lucky to be the students of such amazing educators.
