A Joint Entrance Test (JET) is held by Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata. Different parameters determine the performance of written and oral examination, a final merit list is announced by the Institute for the selection of candidates. The final merit list is prepared on the basis of 1st and 2nd result lists each carrying 50% weightage in subject to qualifying on a medical test.
