BHU-Capital of Knowledge

Passed UGC-NET and JRF-2012 with 78 percent score. Now, doing research here as PhD Research Scholar since 2012.I opted for BHU because, it is one of the oldest and best universities in India. Being a part of BHU means you gain exposure to several branches of knowledge.

Internship experience has been awesome. It offers several avenues for internship to us. It has tie-up with several reputed companies such as TCS, ICICI Bank, Wipro etc. for this purpose.The internship gives us a hands on exposure to apply our theoretical knowledge into real life setting. There are a number of stipend offered to students from students as well as from the alumni.

IT offers excellent placements. For the the past three years the the average percentage of total students who were successfully placed is 90 %. BHU offers great return on investment with least pay back period. Also, the students performance at workplace motivates employers to visit the campus year after year.

It is feasible. The fee is so low that anyone can afford it.The annual fee is as low as a monthly expense of an average indian.I pay Rs. 5000 every year which include the tution fee as well as the hostel accommodation.

There are a host of scholarships in our university. I am personally availing JRF/ SRF through UGC since 2012. I also availed BHU Research fellowship for six months in initial period after joining.I was awarded by ICSSR National doctoral fellowship in 2013. Recently, I got a project to work upon related to university waste paper management of around Rs. 10,00,000/-.

Ours are the largest residential university in Asia. It has around 90 hostels with the capacity of approximately 15000. We easily get the accommodation. In some hostels there is double allotment while in others we get single.It is really an amazing experience to stay in BHU hostel. It is a heaven indeed.

We have got one of the richest alumni network bases. We are celebrating the centenary year in 2016 and recently we held centralized alumni meet as well as a series of batch wise department level alumni meets. Alumni help us immensely. They keep visiting the campus and contribute both financially as well as non-financially.

The teacher student ratio is healthy here and I think the best among Institutes of excellence in India. Faculties are well qualified and competent. Their delivery in the classes as well as the research inputs help us gain more insights into the domain.They encourage open discussion inside as well as outside the class.
