Better than any private college like PSIT

The college is good. You can opt for this if you want some good college with freedom. Pvt colleges are like jail where they want 90% attendence. So it is a good college. Some faculty is good, some is not that good. But overall, this college makes you what you want to. In campus, you can find every kind of student. Cause they are what they wanted to be.

I got admission through UPSEE. I had a general ranking of 21000. I opt for this college as this is an autonomous college and is regulated by CSJM UNIVERSITY (KANPUR UNIVERSITY). I opt cause it is a semi govt. as Kanpur university is a state govt university.

I am a B.Tech student here. My branch is Information Technology. It is a course of 4 years where each year is then have 2 semesters. So it is an 8 semester course. In 1st year, common subjects are taught to all branches. These subjects are just to give a little knowledge of all fields (ex. Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Drawing, Basic computer and C lagaunge, Workshop etc). From 2nd year, core subjects are being taught like Java, Data Structure. In 3rd year we are taught networking and internet.

There is no internship offer at campus. HODs can give some good internship offer if you are good student. You can bag an internship when a company is in any nearby college like HBTI. Or you can ask your faculty regarding internships. If they have contact at some place, they might help you.

Placement is not that good. But Placement cell is working towards it. MSME and CSE/IT mostly get placed in good companies like TCS/INFOSYS.

There is college event as well as University event.College event is organised by B.Tech and BCA students. The technical fest is Techmart which is a good event. Mostly students from nearby colleges comes to praticipate. Strength is almost 2500-3000 .Cultural fest is organised and it does have almost same strength. Sport fests are being organised by university. And you have good chance in sports to get selected in state team.

I guess fee is feasible. But last year fee was increased. The time I got admission here I had to pay 54000, but now fee is 69000 rs. (Roughly). But still it is a good choice. For hostel facility you have to pay 40k.

Scholarship by up government is offered. You can submit forms of the same. You will get almost 75k rs in your account in this scholarship. For this you have to present a income certificate of 5lacs or less. Some other scholarships are available, about which you can check on college notice board or office.

Since it is an college in university campus, so the whole university is yours. There is stadium where you can watch others playing or you can play any sports. Gender ration is balanced. It is not like that one is more than other. Enviorment is healthy for both. Hostel fresher are also organised. I never seen any kind of intolerence based on race, religion or sexual orientation.

College seniors are mostly helpfull. You can meet alumni during alumni meet or through 3rd/4th year senior or fb groups. They are also friendly. Whenever they comes to city they asks us to meet in college cafetaria.

There is marks divided in every section. You have 5 marks of attendence (if u have 75%). Two quizzes will be taken of 15 marks each. Their average/best will be added in your total marks depending on your subject teacher. Mid semeater exam will be of 30 marks and end semester exams will be of 50 marks. Exams are held in a good manner.

Faculty is mostly good. They are helpfull and friendly. Some faculties are not up to the mark. The main problem of faculty is their english proficiency.
