Top Institute for engineering in holi city.

There is nothing bad about this institute it has maintained its high standard for more than 50 years now only, issue is that getting admission is difficult as it is almost first choice after IITs and similar few colleges.

Entrance exam for specific institute163 out of 350 there were not many good institutes at that time. MNREC, as it was called during those days was considered best institute in Entire undivided UP after IIT Roorkee and Kanpur. The same status is still maintained hence this college was my automatica choice.

The course curriculum was in line with civil engineering course and Industry. Soil mechanics was the main elective selected during final year and project was on this subject. The rules were very strict and minimum 200 days classes were necessary in a year. Else, UGC would not allow the exam to be conducted. There used to a 15 days Triangulation camp in which we were to go to some village and prepare map for the same.

Internship after 3rd was necessary for 6 weeks however generally it was without stipend. We used to get connected to some big industry of lab such as central building research Institute roorkee.

The placement for civil was generally not through campus as it was mostly Govt Job. However the batches for mechanical, Electrical and computer science used to get placed in very good industry and it is still continuing.

The moods is the name of annual programme of the institute. We invited teams of various fields covering from lectures/drama/ and others and there after competitions were held. The participation was wide and qualitative.

Very nominal it is a govt college staying in hostel was compulsory all inclusicve fee was within few thousands and hoards of scholarships were available on merit as well as on means basis.

College offered all types of loan and scholarship. The institute is very high in ranking and hence arranging a loan from bank is very simple.

Prefect mix of study practicals and availability of out door and indoor sports there is very well equipped club swimming pool, lawn tennis and even squash.

This was the only college which offered single seated rooms for all students. The hostel facility is excellent with well ventilated and designed rooms.

All India alumni association is available however, mainly regular get togethers are held within same batches but bonding as a college aluminus sparks whenever 2 such students meet anywhere in the life.

There was annual exam system but 50% weightage was for interneal assessments and practicals which were continuing during entire year. Hence all year performance was necessary.

The faculty were par excellence the college was headed by Dr Jagdish lal who was authority in Fluid Mechanics. His name is known for his design of breaking system of Famous Rajdhani Express. The dedication is complete the faculty used to teach for full 70 minutes even if there is only one student in the calss.
