MBA experience from HNB Garhwal University

University faculty was good but it is in between of mountain and transportation is a problem to go there as it is about 105 Km from Rishikesh towards badrinath. College management is very good. I am from BIHAR and taken admission in uttarakhand but never faced issue due to outsider. Exam result degree certificate and everythin i got on time. even now a days i wanted to talk to faculties they all are easily approachable through phone. networking sites.i recommend those student who are financially not strong but wanted to do higher study they can go there and make their future bright. I was a average student not got placement there. And also i dont had any god father in industry. But now a days i am a Manager in Axis Bank Ltd in Retail lending and payment department.

MAT entrance exam, got score 620, i had taken admission here as it was a university department and 2 years fee was less than 1 lac.it has surrounded by green mountains and situated at the bank of river alaknanda. Hence here is a peace environment and it is a right place for peaceful studies.

Course curriculum was good. Syllabus was almost the same what other universities have. Good library with almost all writers management book was there and 24 hour internet enable lab provided by the department hence no study barrier.Marketing, Finance, Human resource and Information technology available as major /minor subject.

I did internship with Bharat Heavy electrical Limited for 2 month. No stipend got there. however learned a lot towards different department their work culture and at last prepared project on financial health of BHEL.

30 student were placed out of 60, where 25 from marketing and 5 from finance. however HR & IT student not got placed. Icici bank, hdfc bank, icici prudential, Bajaj Allianz. Somany tiles etc was visited for placement.

Fresher party, seniors farewell, sometimes cultural party (garhwali kumayuni festival celibration) etc happened. sometimes local festival also celibrated.

Fee structure is feasible. in 2005 i had spent total 1.5 Lac for 2 years MBA,along with lodging fooding, two industrial visit of bangalore and GOA.

as now a days HNB garhwal university is a central university hence scholarship option has been widened. Loan facility offered by some nationalised bank.

Campus life is good. There is a Churas campus that has 28 professional department one equipped auditorium where different cultural program is being organised. and Student and local people are very cordial.Extracurricular activities are also there.

Hostel facility is not upto the mark i have taken private accomodation. however now a days it has been improved.

Every year in the month of February HNBGU alumni meets are being organised by department at dehradun where almost all senior students are coming and helping to junior student in placement.

There were 8 subject in each semister. hence 3 internal exam for one subject hence total 24 internal examination and 8 external examination for each semister following by viva from external faculty. also there is three presentation on every semister. along with one project.

4 teachers and Head of department was good however some of the teachers not up to the mark. Total intake was 60 student. and Self study helped me a lot.
