No negative remarks about my college

Writing about remarks only positive points comes into my mind. The college provides all the facilities that a student requires. Importance is provided for both academic and activities. Sports facility is also provided which increase our interest to play games whenever free. It has a membership with HELNET and the leading information centre which allows students to download eBooks and provides access to journals.

The course is a two year course with 4 semesters. The course follows a credit based system and each semester consists of 100days. The course is organized with theory, practical classes and seminars and assignments. An 80% attendance in theory and practical classes? separately is required for a student to attend the final exam. The course curriculum is designed in focus to the job and the future development of the students.

The placement is good at our university. The placement cell aims at providing good job opportunity for all the passing out students in students across the country. Every year around 90% of the students pass out with an offer letter. We are also provided internship in good medicine/drug manufacturing labs or companies. I completed my internship at Ranbaxy. There were total 10 students enrolled in our batch and out of 10, 9 got placed and one went for doctorate.

The fees I paid during my time were 2 lakhs for two years. I am not sure about any increase in the amount. According to me the fee is not very high as the other college around the outskirts of Bangalore have more fee and the facilities and placement provided is also not that good. Moreover, the college provides 10,000 Rs stipend for GATE qualified students. The fees concession is given to government quota students.

Yes students are encouraged for activities other than academics. Active participation is an aim of the management to bring out the talent in each student. The College has an excellent Library and information centre, which is utilized by student?s faculties and researchers. The library has AC and comfortable seating. Bus service is provided for transportation within the campus.

There is an association of alumni, and with each conference and meeting, we have been given ample exposure to all the latest techniques used in the industry of medicine. They give us knowledge about the latest findings and other knowledge of courses and medicines. Every year there is a grand gala dinner eve where all the ex-students meet together. Having an alumni network is very important. Seniors are also very helpful and supportive. Currently we have more than 1000members in the alumni association.

The admission process is offline. I got to know about this university from my uncle who is the resident of Bangalore. I visited the college website and selected the course I wished to apply for. On clicking M.Pharm I was directed to a page to download the form. I downloaded the form and took a print out of the form. After filling the form I attached all the eligibility documents. The eligibility criteria for M.Pharm were a degree in B.Pharm. The duly filled form was sent to the university via post. The merit list was published on the website; I found my name in the list and was called for the admission process.

Faculty are very good, all the faculty members have doctorate degree and years of experience in their field. They teach from the very basics in the theory classes and in practical classes all the topics are explained in detail, which makes it more interesting. Whenever the lab is free our teachers used to take us to the lab so that they could explain the topic with practical knowledge which actually helped us understanding every topic very well.
