I enjoyed my college and it was a good college indeed. I enjoyed my student life and wish to live the same again.
Entrance Preview
WBJEE and GATE (Architecture), I secured 1117 in JEE and 1 in GATE. I opted for Architecture. I wanted to be an Architect and this is the best college in my state.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was pretty good. Had practical courses along with the normal course. There are many ongoing project and many field tour. one semester was parked for internship in the final year.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was pretty good. I had been offered about 10000/- pm. I had to go to office 5 days a week and also had to go to site visit for practical experience.
Placement Experience
Placement was good. Many company came like infosys, hcl, tcs, wipro etc. they offered in and avarage of 2-3lpa and it varries based on placement exams.
College Events
There are many college fest like jonasa, cultural fest etc. Yearly 4 major event used to happen. Science, arts and engg dept used to hold their individual cultural fest and all used to participate.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Yearly once, that time it was bit cheap as it was govt aided university. We used to pay the semester fee and exam fee every semester and it was close to 4000/-
Fees and Financial Aid
I didn't availed any loan but there are many banks used to give away loans like SBI, BOI, CANARA BANK
Campus Life
Campus life is good. gender ration 4-2, there are plenty workshops and cultural events. There are many events used to happen. There used to be 3-4 students union SFI DFI etc and they are pretty good.
Alumni/Alumna
There are many social group in which we still are connected. Every year they arrange some reunion and invite us. it's good fun that all current and alums get a chance to get together.
Exam Structure
Yearly 2, after each semester there was exam. each semester had 6-8 courses. So in an average in each semester we had 6-8 papers total - 10 semester.
Faculty
Faculty was very good indeed. I still miss them. They had a passion for teaching and they used to spend a lot of time after the normal hours to clear doubts and share some practical example to help us understanding the theory.
