Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum is well structured and is aligned with the UGC guidelines. Examinations are conducted annually and you will have to write the assignments before taking the final examinations. Old question papers are helpful and are available on the website.
Placement Experience
The concept of distance learning is that a learner has to learn at his own. After completing the course a student may participate in the campus placements of University of Mumbai. A number of good companies come to the Mumbai University Campus to recruit the freshers.
College Events
Mumbai University is a happening place with a number of clubs run by the students. You can participate after seeking permission. Being an IDOL student you will have to search for the club of your choice.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees structure is feasible and economical. For First Year - Rs. 5075 and for Second Year - Rs. 4300 i.e. a total of Rs. 9375 is what you are expected to pay to the university for learning and pursuing higher education.
Fees and Financial Aid
University of Mumbai, IDOL provides scholarships to the students that are sponsored by Government of India and Government of Maharashtra. A student belonging to SC/ST/OBC category gets the scholarship if he meets the eligibility.
Campus Life
You may not find participation of IDOL students in extra curricular activities. The campus of Mumbai University is awesome. You may find students everywhere and a vibrant and lively atmosphere in the campus.
Hostel Facilities
University of Mumbai IDOL focus on academics of those who are working. There is no hostel facility for IDOL students. However, a student can get a good rental outside the premises of the university on sharing basis.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network is not that active in IDOL . The students of IDOL are not acquainted with alumni network. You may seek information of alumni from the office if you require some specific guidance from the alumni.
Admission
The issue of working and pursuing my academic got solved and that was the reason why I chose distance learning over regular learning. The flexibility in learning and yet being a part of University of Mumbai motivated me to join the IDOL.
Faculty
Well qualified faculties are there in the college. If you seek their permission you will definitely you will get proper guidance and that will help in completing your course with ease. First seek the permission of the faculties.
