Remarks

The 'A' grade accreditation is definitely indicative of the quality and efficiency of the institute. Well qualified professors, state of art infrastructure and efficient administration are the prominent backbones which lay a strong foundation for its growth and development. The student-friendly atmosphere attracts lots of students each year and I consider myself lucky to be a part of this prestigious institution.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is designed to groom lawyers who can effectively cater to the needs of the community. The modules are up to date with the recent developments in the field and the curriculum incorporates a variety of pedagogical methods that extends beyond classroom teaching and learning. We are constantly exposed to workshops and field visits, which are done in collaboration with many NGOs and other stakeholders. And throughout the entire cycle, we are offered with many refreshing and interesting electives, which aids and enhances the learning process. Our institute places a specific focus on cutting edge research and encourages the free exchange of ideas. We are provided with an adequate research environment where our Professors consistently support and motivate us. The evaluations follow the choice based credit system. 40% of the entire marks are from internal assessment and the rest is done through external evaluation. Usually the internal part will involve one project of 20 marks and a minimum of two other options( 10 marks each) like case studies, moot courts, essays, seminar presentations, simulated interviews, computer-based assessments etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

We have a training and placement cell in our institute that is consistently and efficiently working towards helping students in getting impressive employment opportunities. In fact, many of the students in the previous batches were placed in well-reputed institutions like Bajaj Allianz Gener Insurance Company, Orbit Law, Fox Mandal, Dave& Girish& Co and OYO. 5.6LPA was the average salary package offered to the previous batches. The activities of the cell mainly gives weight to placements, internships, personality development, career counseling, industry-institute interaction, industrial visits and entrepreneurship development. Regular seminars, workshops, summer and winter internships across a range of domains further facilitate the development of responsible and talented lawyers. The internships provided has been a hands-on experience for me as well as the other students.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure borders on the range of being expensive. Each year the fees is paid in two installments, i.e. semester wise. For my first year I paid around 5,06,300 which includes the tuition fees, institute deposit, hostel deposit, hostel fee and mess fee. Before each subsequent year the modified( if any), tuition, hostel and mess fees is communicated to the student.

Campus Life

Our institute has various clubs and cells that conducts a multitude of activities throughout the year keeping the campus lively and buzzing. The cultural cell plays a detrimental role in giving us breaks from the monotonous academic work. There are dance, drama, music and movie clubs which caters to the needs of students interested in these areas. I myself am part of the dance club, which provides me with the much-needed breather from the stress of academics. The cultural diversity of the institute is visible to any newcomer and that adds to the cultural relevance and beauty of this place. There are also other cells like the environmental law cell, international cell, literary and debate cell, legal aid cell, moot court association, research and publication cell, sports cell etc that takes up the activity level in the institute to top-notch status.

Admission

The quality legal education, prominent research culture, moot courts and teaching and skill enhancement programs are the main factors that attracted me to this institute. The first step of the admission is to take part in the university entrance examination, the SLAT( Symbiosis Law Admission Test). Since I had performed well in it, I was called for the next stage, which involved an interview and a writing ability test. The entire process was considerably hassle-free since the administration was really helpful.

Faculty

4.5

We are extremely lucky to be able to learn under such qualified and intelligent professors. The level of dedication and interest that they depict in their work motivates us to work harder and inspires us to reach great heights. They are very approachable and encourages us to speak up in case of any problem or academic inconvenience.

Placement Experience:

From the 3rd semester, you are well eligible for placements. Various company's and firms get into some famous like Amarchand and so on. As an intern, you are not getting that big salary offers but you get a good and sustainable amount of money for work. I think the highest package was offered as 18lac per annum and the majority stick to 13 14 lakhs. 100% of students get placements if they have performed well in every semester. I've decided to work one year as a clerk with a judge and then on to do my master's in law from abroad.
