Entrance Preview
I appeared for the CET conducted by GGSIP University for MBA entrance. I got an overall 8th rank. I selected this college in the counselling that happened post the declaration of results.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was extensive. The entire program was spread over 4 semester in two years. In the first and second semester, we were taught some of the basic subjects in management. In the following two semesters, I opted for Finance as my major and Marketing as the minor field of specialization.
Internships Opportunities
A very few companies visited the campus for internship during my stay at the college, specifically it being the post-recession period. The stipend offered was very low ranging about 5,000-10,000 per month.
Placement Experience
In contrast to the internship period, we saw a lot of companies visiting the campus for recruitment. Companies across varies sectors and profiles came, and the package offered ranged between INR 3-6 lac per annum.
College Events
GGSIP University conduct an annual cultural festival Anugoonj. In addition to this, our management school has many cultural events as well as MDPs being organized on a regular basis.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee structure was very feasible. The fee was INR 37,500 per annum. In addition to this, we use to pool in money to organize various events internally. We used to receive good funding from the university as well to organize various trips and events.
Fees and Financial Aid
The top three rankers used to get some monetary scholarship from the college, but I do not remember the exact amount.
Campus Life
The campus life was fun and eventful. We had lot to do during the day apart from the regular classroom teaching. This helped me grow professionally as well as personally.
Hostel Facilities
I was not part of the hostel, so have very limited inputs in this. However, from what I have heard from my friends in the hostel. The facilities were satisfactory, but the mess food was not good.
Alumni/Alumna
The alumni network is well maintained, and we have our alumni meet every year. We are often reached out by our college for recruitment.My company visit our college every year for campus recruitment program.
Faculty
The faculty at my college is learned and have had extensive experience in teaching. Most of them were PhD holders in their field, while a few started teaching after completing their MBA will affiliated institutions.
