Course Curriculum Overview
the course curriculum of the college is really very simple and understandable to students. Courses are not so hectic to understand. Huge and well organised library are there for students which has all type of books whether its course book other books.
Placement Experience
Being a medical college, there is as such no placement opportunities as in engineering college. The college provides internship after completion of final year MBBS which is essential for graduating. The stipend for internship is around Rs 15000 per month and the duration is for a year. The internship allows the student to experience the work of each and every department of the college.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Feasible. Each student has to pay about 40,000 per semester. The OBC, St, SC and other so-called backward castes pay almost half the fees that the general category students pay. As PG students, the doctors get a stipend instead.
Campus Life
Various extracurricular activities organised by the college are the intersems sports meet, the intercollegiate event Plexus and various others. The students also take part in sports and cultural events organised by other colleges as well. The laboratories in the college are pretty well maintained and well equipped.
Hostel Facilities
Boys hostel is really bad. The buildings are old with several problems like leakage during the monsoon, no proper hot water supply, no mess and so on. At the same time, due to limited rooms in the hostel it is really difficult to get a room.
Admission
Following 12th board exams, I answered if meet exam which is medical entrance test. Got a good score and 13th rank in Goa. Admission was based on merit. Got admission in the 1st round itself. The 12th boards percentage does not count but should be at least 50% to be eligible.
Faculty
Very good. Each subject is basically a department that consists of Doctors who treat the patients in the hospital as well as teach the students. In clinics, teachers teach the students at the same time as they treat the patients.
