Gemological Institute of America is the best institute and lab in the world. The programmes offered by institute are focused more towards the retail jeweler and provide great information to help sell jewellry. It provides best knowledge about grading stones and jewellery designing. Students are allowed to touch jewelleries as well as expensive stones.
Course Curriculum Overview
The diploma is of 5 days and offers an excellent way to kickstart a career in Gem related profession as the course gives basics and the foundations that students can apply in real life settings. This course provides knowledge of different type of metals, stones, design themes, presentations, jewellery costing and jewellery making. Overall the course is chill and interesting. It requires students with higher artistic skills and creativity.
Placement Experience
More than 80 percent of students were placed after doing diploma from this institute. Many students got internship and industry exposure during workshops, projects and many more curriculum based activities. Jewellery Designer, jewellery assistant designer, visual merchandiser etc are the roles that were mainly offered.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees for our 5 days course is 277,300 which is highly expensive and not feasible at all. But the fees is high as it is a reputed organization and the course includes practicals with diamonds and gemstones.
Campus Life
The diploma is of 5 days only so there is not any extracurricular activities conducted by institute. The college only involves in trainings and academics. While some activities like seminars and conferences, creativity competition are conducted by institute to develop extra skills in students.
Admission
I select Diploma (in Applied Jewelery Professional Intensive) as my career because jewelery designing is a very rewarding career option for anyone. And i have a good sense of fashion and accessories. I got admission in this course on the basis of my intermediate result. After full documentation process ( must birth certificate) i got enrolled for the course.
Faculty
Faculties are well qualified and experienced from the industry. They all are really very helpful and taught us every little thing in so detail. Some faculties and trainers are from foreign industries. They give us regular tasks and chance to work on real projects.
