Remarks
My experience till now has been satisfying. Even though there is a long way to go in terms of certain areas, altogether it is a wonderful place, mainly because of the calm atmosphere. I am especially fond of the annual fest which is a huge opportunity for students to learn, grow and enjoy.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum involves diverse topics and allows the provision of lab work and programming. But it does not cater enough to the needs of students who aims to develop any software eventually or develop professional abilities. Nevertheless it needs to be emphasized that the portions are taken up to date with regular lectures and classes.
Placement Experience
Because of the remote location of the campus and some other factors, as of now, not many companies are visiting our campus for placements. But mostly Infosys comes every year and some students do get selected. Some of my seniors were also selected in the previous placement drive. I hope I do too in the coming year.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees pattern here is much feasible, making it affordable for the common people. This, in fact, is an added advantage of the institute as it is also a factor which attracts many students. And for most of the courses, the fees per anum does not exceed 70,000.
Campus Life
Other than the intra-disciplinary and interdisciplinary competitions that takes place in the campus, there is also the 'synapse', which is the annual techno-cultural fest. It is a hub of intellectual activity for the creative minds. And most of the students here are males, i.e. the male to female ratio is disproportionate. But even then the cultural diversity is comparatively high as students from many parts of India and Northern India can be seen here. Our sports facilities are somewhat impressive as we have courts for many outdoor games and a common room for the indoor games.
Admission
The requirements for getting admission in the MCA course was having at least 50% marks in graduation and one of the subjects, either during graduation or in 10+2 must be mathematics. Since I satisfied the above conditions it was easy for me to get the admission.
Faculty
The teachers have the necessary qualifications and insight to provide an effective teaching-learning environment. Their supportive and approachable nature is a plus for us as we can always count on them to be there for us in our academic endeavors.
