Course Curriculum Overview
Mumbai University is one of the most prestigious and historic universities of India. Under the norms and protocols of the university, the college offers a descriptive course with a lot of emphasis on the core subject. In a nutshell the college provides a wonderful course only if you are looking for a distance course.
Placement Experience
No. As my college is a distance learning college, no placements or job opportunities are offered. The same applies in case of internships. The college does not have the facility of recruitment on campus. Hence, we need to work hard to get our own doors opened.
Fee Structure And Facilities
A meagre fees of Rs. 3,675/- , Rs. 3,455/- , Rs. 3,705/- is charged as fees in the first, second ad third year respectively. Hence, I have to pay a total amount of Rs. 10,835/- for the three year B.A course in the college and according to me it is very feasible.
Fees and Financial Aid
As much I know, there is no loan facility offered by the college. But, in case you perform exceptionally, the university may look into your matter and grant you the scholarship. For scholarships you need to apply for it in the college.
Campus Life
As I avail a distance course I don't have a clear idea about the premises but I have heard that the university has an extraordinary library. Sports is also a major part of the extracurricular activities and every student is free to participate irrespective of their gender, caste and creed.
Admission
My admission in IDOL Mumbai University was merit based. A merit list was made and published by the college authorities based on the 10+2 scores of the applicants and accordingly I got admitted to the college. A date was given to me when I had to submit all my informational documents including a photocopy of my 10+2 mark sheet and enrolled my name in the college.
Faculty
IDOL Mumbai college is enriched with an outstanding faculty. I am absolutely privileged to be under their guidance. Since it is a distance course, I have not interacted with the faculty much. Classes are held on Saturdays and Sundays.
