My Journey to face life.

I would say its a good college because the college was lenient but not lenient to leave us in a wrong path so there are people always watching discipline plays a very important role. They maintain a record where all attendance management is done separating from other colleges, CMR has no fine for attendance shortage but instead they are not allowed to write the examination itself people who met with accidents or fallen ill can reclaim attendance so that they can take up their examination apart from exams and academics, I think discipline is the most important factor which helps us in our life and I am happy I learn't many things from CMR . I've been recruited by Capgemini and I really see the difference there are a lot of awards and rewards which I am receiving in my professional life which is only because of the discipline which I learn't.

From the age I knew about computers, I was really fascinated about them so I had decided to take up B.sc or BCA there were so many suggestions in that itself but at the end I decide to join BCA while searching the top 10 colleges, I found CMR IMS among them i was strongly recommended to CMR by father's friend and many others too who gave a good review about the college one similar review which I got from all of them was about discipline initially they said that there were no openings but later looking into my PUC marks they took me in that itself showed me that they want good students in their college.

The course curriculum was very well structured and understandable even though I was from a Biology background, I was very well able to follow them it was an autonomous university so we had freedom to put our thoughts too and because of this we were also able to learn the way we wanted (i.e) learn basics before jumping into advance subjects.

I did not try or do any internship since we were much involved in our final year projects and many other extra courses such as asp.net and the management was open for us to let them know if we wanted to study on any subject extra based on our interests there were many other activities and courses provided by the college which got us trained very well for the interviews and mastered on our Soft skills, giving seminars and presentations skills i had been a part of industrial visit to SAP in whitefield Bangalore it was a memorable visit where they took us though the top emerging technologies and the companies goals etc. This very industrial visit boosted me up to jump to IT sector no matter how harder the path is going to be.

Fees structure is pretty decent its around 35000 rupees per semester which includes end semester exam fees too the fees needs to be paid for 2 semesters at once. However, fees varies from one person to another based on the region from which they come the college is very well known in abroad since many foreign students will also be joining my fees structure from 2011-14 was, basic tution fee NR 27770 exam fee INR 2100.

Students who have low annual income can apply and must be having a good academic record the categories are merit scholarship, sports scholarship, external scholarships like , scholarship by ICCR 2.SC/ST and backward class merit scholarship from government of karnataka 3 scholarship from various state governments 4 scholarship from governments of other country.

CMRIMS hostels which has boys and girls separately but however both have the same facilities and same problems i was not at hostel so I would not be able to answer this question. But I did have hostel friends who gave me the below review they have rooms for 2 persons, lounges, TV, magazines and other facilities food is average and often face problems in water supply fee was around 45,000 INR, It might have increased to INR 75000.

We had good interaction with our seniors but had better relationship with our juniors it was a joyful college life no fight no ragging its just friends around i had attended my first alumni day on august 15 2015 it was really good to meet my faculties and my college mets we had many contests for married couple and few other programmes it was soo good to see that our juniors conducting programmes for us we had a good lunch provided by them and later a small gift in memory there were some awards given too for those who made achievements in their profession.

The programme was well designed to produce genus computer professionals possessing excellent programming knowledge with good managerial skills we had 2 tests before the end semester examination and 2 lab exams too its not that hectic to worry about but the marks are counted for the end semester exam.

Faculties were extremely friendly we never had much of a misunderstanding between us we also had a review for faculties at the end of each semesters in which we would be rating and reviewing our faculties since there were no personal data of the reviewer ( students ), the students had full privilege to rate their faculties.
