Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum was broad and covered a range of aspects. The classes were taken regularly. The methods of teaching were traditional which focussed more on theory than practical. Overall the course was good and I learnt many things.
Placement Experience
There is a placement cell which grooms the students and prepares them for work in the real world. After the completing of the course, the placement cell organises a placemat program which helps students in finding an appropriate job.
College Events
Our college organises several extracurricular activities throughout the year. Seminars, workshops, symposiums and guest lectures are held from time to time which makes learning quite interesting for the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee is quite nominal as compared to other universities offering a similar course. The fee for B.Tech (electrical) is rupees 50,000 per year. The total fee for the 4-year course would be 2,00,000. This fee structure includes only the tuition fee.
Campus Life
The infrastructure facilities of our college are quite good. The campus is lush green and beautiful. The route has proper connectivity and you can reach the college by using public or private transport. There is a library which has over 30,000 books and national and international journals. There is a sports complex also which has a badminton court, a tennis court and a basketball court. Girls and boys can equally participate.
Admission
In order to take admission at Nehru Gram Bharati University, I first had to fill a common application form. The application form asked the basic details and then I was required to pay rupees 350 as the application form fee. Along with the application form I had to submit some documents as well. These included a copy of adhaar card, attested copies of class 10th and 12th mark sheet, transfer certificate and character certificate. After that, I was called for the direct interview which was taken by the senior members of the college faculty.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are very cooperative with the students. The take doubt classes and clear them. Also, the faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. They are friendly with the students.
