Course Curriculum Overview
My course was pretty hectic but just the right amount of how the masters should be. Study materials were provided. It focused on various literary genres by the end of the course we could recognize the culture and context of literary works. Exams were conducted at the end of each year.
Placement Experience
Given its a distance education institution, there weren't any placements conducted. College doesn't provide any internship opportunities either. Although there are certain student-run clubs where you can enquire about it.
Fee Structure And Facilities
One great thing about this institution is its government-run. Therefore, fees are very much affordable. I paid Rs. 5,628 every year which is a considerable amount when the college provides all kinds of facilities and other amenities.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are many scholarships available for students. There's Post Matric Scholarship that you can apply online. Students of the SC/ST category can avail of other scholarships as well. There aren't any loan facilities offered as far as I know. But you can still approach banks for student loans.
Campus Life
There are digital libraries available. WEBOPAC is the IDOL library. E-Learning portal is accessible as well. We used to celebrate Foundation day and Convocation ceremony. As of extracurricular activities, there aren't any since the students pursue distance education.
Admission
The mode of application is online. You just have to fill the application form attaching the required documents. You ought to have decent marks in 10th and 12th grade. You should be graduated from a university approved by the University of Mumbai. based on which they would admit you.
Faculty
I didn't have much interaction with the faculty. I did attend a few classes which were really interesting. The university has established under the University of Mumbai therefore it consists of highly qualified faculty members.
