Great College.

The college Management was fair and Managed by committed persons.

The admission was based on the marks secured in the Pre University Examination of Madras University.

Mechanical Engineering - Engineering Drawing, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Engines, Control Systems, Turbo Machinery, Mathematics, physics, Chemistry etc.

The Internship was during the summer vacations where students were encouraged to go to the Industry. All types of Industries were available for Internship.

There were professional societies in the College and students were encouraged to join and take part in the activities of the societies. Cultural festivals were part of the academic year and students were encouraged to take part in these events.

The fees were very low compared to the present rates. Scholarships were also available on a merit cum means basis. Those who could afford could also stay in the hostels.

I could avail of a Scholarship of Rs 40 per month which was not sufficient to meet the academic expenses.

Campus Life was always good staying away from home and developing some level of independence. There were enough number of Extra curricular activities. These could be availed more by those staying in the Hostel.

The hostel facilities were on a room sharing basis. PGs had individual rooms with common bathrooms.

We have an active Alumini in Chennai and even in other cities. We have one in Bangalore. We have active social medias too to keep in touch with others.

The examinations were held at the end of a year and semester systems were not existent. The academic schedules and timings were hectic.

All the faculty were well qualified and with rich teaching experience. They could impart knowledge. They were post graduates in their own fields and thereby qualified to teach the Graduate Level.
