Effects of college on life.

Overall I can say college is an average college. But situated in good city so this can be considered as good. Educational quality is also average here not very good.

I just cleared JEE MAIN examination to get admission in this college. Unfortunately my rank was not very good as I had desired. I prepared for JEE dropping one year in Allen career Institute Kota. Experience of Kota was awesome and unforgettable for me. The way I studied there was very good, because of a great number of students competition level is very high there. I got admission in very good college on my rank in jee main. There is not any better college in which I could got admission on that rank. I preferred Mechanical branch due to some interest in automobile. In reality a student passing from school has not enough knowledge about branches and interests.

Here is very good environment in chandigarh for study as well as for living. Having very educated person one can feel high competition. Course which I opted is little bit difficult as compared to other branches being a mechanical student I feel lucky my self.

Companies coming in large number for students of cse, it and ece. And students got placed at good salary. Every year large number of companies arrive here to pick students. They select students on the basis of there academic and practical performance many of them take test.

Placement is average of the college good placement for cse students. Average package is around 5 to 6 lacks. Companies coming in large number for students of cse, it and ece. Fee for per year is taken in two installments total fee is 71000 per year. 40000 in first installment and remains in second. For every semester exam 2000 is examination fee.

University provides scholarship for students having economy problem. There are some seats reserved for economically weaker section. Students who take admission to these seats don't pay any fees.

Gender ratio for each department is different. Being a part of mechanical engineering there is a little number of girl. As compared to other branches. Strict law of hostel prevent parties. Tolerance is totally unvisible.

Hostel facilities are good enough although hostels are very old but having good maintenance under the care of wardens. There are 8 boys hostels and 9 girls hostels. Mess facility is not very good we can say worst mess facility.

As here ragging is strictly prohibited so a senior can not hurt you allot. Relationship between senior and junior is very good. This becomes good enough during the time of elections which held every year in Panjab University.

There occurs two sessionals per semester best of two marks is added out of 30. 20 marks is given by a teacher or we can say internal at the end of semester there held final exam.

Faculty of the college is highly educated, many of them studied abroad for higher studies. Professors are very helpful for students. Teach specialty of core subjects are high educated and having good experience of teaching as well as in practical. Workshop of the college is one of the best in chandigarh so this college is best college for mechanical engineering.
