Good College for Extra Curricular Activities

College is good if you want to enjoy 4 years of your life along with some serious education

I took AIEEE Rank 19700 I opted for this college as it's a government college recognized/part of South Campus of Panjab University.I always wanted to study in a huge campus having all facilities like Sports, Drama, Technical Fests etc.This college is good for everyone. If you want to grow technically, they have good technical infrastructure and college administration is very supportive if you want pursue your interests in any other field like drama, dance etc.

8 Semesters 1st year is same for every course which includes Biotechnology, Chemistry, Mathematics etc. 2nd year onwards it is specific to that branchLast semester had an option 6 months industrial training.You can either opt for training or attend the classes

We have to search for the internship on our own as there are hardly companies which comes for internship positions. Although I could remember Motorola came during our time which offered stipend of Rs 20000 and a PPO

Placement scenario is good but only if you maintain aggregate percentage of 65. Mass recruiter like Infosys, Wipro visit our campus every yearAn average package of Rs 3.25 Lakh was offered. Almost whole batch who were eligible were placed

Too many fest are celebrated in the college. Annual Techno-Cultural Fest- Goonj Annual Freshers Fest Technical Conferences. There are many official committees and anyone can be a part of itThese committees are responsible for organizing such fests.

Fee Structure is Feasible Annual Fee- Approx 67000 Hostels are very economical but are given on first come first serve basis Hostels are for Rs 10000/yr approx.

There are many scholarships available As far as I can remember, it's free for Economically Weaker Section Scholarship for Minorities Scholarship for Merit Students

Our college is more famous for Extracurricular activities. Lots of sports facilities available within the campus like Swimming, Tennis, Cricket, Football.Technical fest is held every year Many fun events during a yearLabs are well equipped

Hostels facilities are goodOn sharing basis Each room is shared between 2 Mess is average but food is cheap Food quality is average

Alumni network is really good. They have an Alumni meet every year to allow students to interact with their alumni. Most of the Alumni are now well settled and are either working in United States or have their own startup

8 Semesters Each semester having 5-6 Subjects. Three sessionals for each subject during each semester Best of 2 is taken into account

Faculty was good but could have been better. There are only few Professors who had in depth knowledge of subject matter. Most of the time, student has to study himself to clear the exams. But there are few teachers who teach in an interesting manner and it is fun to attend their classes.
