NIIFT is one of the best colleges in the country and the best design institute in punjab. It was always my first choice to study here and I was not dissappointed a bit. I gained so much here both professionally and personally.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is very relevant to the present day fashion scenario. But at the same time we also get an overview on how it has proggresed over the years. Enough ficus is also on the practical aspect learning.
Placement Experience
The placement is very good. Companies like BlackBerry Clothing, Cheer Sagar, GIVO, Globus, Kapsons, Matrix Clothing, Monte Carlo etc recruit from our college. Average package is around Rs 4 lakhs per annum. Internships are also offered by various organisations.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The total fees for the course is Rs 3.57 lakhs. This is taken in parts in the entire course duration. This is very feasible for this course, as this amount can go upto several lakhs in other colleges.
Campus Life
The college has labs which the students can access to work on their craft. There is a stationary store for the students. Badminton, volleyball kno kho grounds are available. Auditorium is there for various cultural events.
Admission
The eligibilty criteria for admission is 10+2 from a recognised board. There is an entrance test followed by the situation test and personal interview. The weightage is 60%-20%-20% respectively. 85% seats are reserved for students from punjab.
Faculty
Dr. Simrita Singh, the HOD of Fashion Design department is one of the most humble and cooperative person one would ever meet. The entire faculty team is very knowledgeable and they very high qualifications.
