MBBS from ESIC Medical College, Faridabad

There are many pros than the cons to our college. The infrastructure of the college and the hostel are excellent. There are fully air-conditioned lecture theatres available here to help us focus on the studies. The college is fully Wi-Fi enabled. The college is also good regarding sports facilities. Playgrounds are available here for all the students to show their skills. Library is also open 24*7 to all the students for any context and study related queries. All the academic branch members are helpful and the campus is really huge.

If you are familiar with the course curriculum of a typical Medical College, you must know that the course curriculum is hectic. Exams are also filled with pressure and we often get frustrated. There are lot of things that happen at the same time such as labs and internals, weekly tests and projects which often overlap with each other. And course completion also becomes a task sometimes. So it's pretty hectic. Though, I must admit that I have heard from my seniors that this rigorous schedule helped them in building discipline and have a successful career as a doctor/surgeon.

The college asks every student to sign a contract stating that they have to work at ESIC for 2 years after the completion of MBBS Degree. The bond also states that the students who fail work for two years will have to pay 10 lakhs to the management. As a medical college it gives us many internship opportunities. After work experience of 2 years from the college hospital, we can get the job by giving the exams for medical officer.

Considering the fees of other Medical Colleges, the fees for the 5 year degree program in ESIC Medical College is very very little, i.e., Rs 1,00,000/- approx. Other than that, some of the extra money we have to pay on a regular or monthly basis are hostel charges, food, travel and for miscellaneous expenses which costs around Rs 5,000/- to Rs 7,000/- per month.

Our college organises many programs for our entertainment, which include annual functions, Inter-ESIC and Intra-ESIC fests which are the most enjoyed ones. Festivals, starting from Republic Day to Christmas every festival are celebrated here. Also there are many inter-department and inter-college sports tournaments held.

So, after I passed my 10+2, I appeared for NEET where I scored 560 and then applied for counseling process. In the counseling session, I selected ESIC Medical College as the college I want to pursue my MBBS and went ahead with the admission procedure. In general, anyone who wants to get into to college for doing MBBS, must secure 50% aggregate percentage in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-tech. Candidates who have passed 10+2 level with Biology as an additional subject will also be eligible. The lower age limit is 17 years and the upper age limit is 25 years (30 yrs for SC/ST/OBC category). Candidate must have secured 50th (40th for SC, ST and OBC candidates) percentile in NEET.

Faculty selection of our college is very transparent and genuine. So you can understand, how good the professors in our college are and that's the college holds good reputation in the academics because of teaching faculty and their experience. There are many experienced professors Most of the faculty members of our college have a Doctorate degree and have minimum 10 years of teaching experience and they are very cooperative to us. They conduct so many exams to prepare us as doctors/surgeons.
