Course Curriculum Overview
Our course was based on the Anesthesiology stream and also the hospital visits included almost all the relevant aspects as we got to learn much about our stream. Exams were tough as per my perspective as we gave tests, journals, external exams at the institute, and also final year exams for the aspects related to the Anesthesiology stream merely.
Placement Experience
This institute lists the post available at the official website where the posts like a senior resident and assistant professor can be avail to seek experience with decent pay. Also, we had placement drives where private organizations hired students based on the experience they had at the internship which was mandatory for everyone.
Fee Structure And Facilities
At Heritage Institute of Medical Sciences, the fees were for the postgraduate course in Anesthesiology and other relevant streams were 8 lakhs. It was moderate while expensive for many students I know at the institute.
Campus Life
Every month, there were camps organized for blood donation, free health check-ups, and several volunteer works. Also, we had a freshers party once a year and book launch events in the main hall. Faculty felicitation programs and ceremonies at the campus are organized by the institute.
Hostel Facilities
The institute provided good accommodation facilities for the students at the institute campus with separate accommodation facilities for males and females. Concerning about the fees, the facilities were spacious rooms, hygienic washrooms, and a balcony. Also, there was a mess where we can eat and also but the necessary food products.
Alumni/Alumna
I had a strong senior connection at the institute. We studied alongside the separate reading rooms on every floor and they were very friendly to teach me the basics. On the other side, the interaction with alumni students was rare at the institute as per my perspective.
Admission
I selected the Post Graduate Course in Anesthesiology as the specialization degree as I had a keen interest in it after the MBBS. This course had five seats so I was lucky to get shortlisted after my online application at the institutes' portal.
Faculty
The department was separate for the postgraduate studies and that too for the Anesthesiology which had a group of professionals as they have completed their DM degree from well-known institutes. They taught every aspect at the hospital by considering much detail and covering all the prospects.
