Course Curriculum Overview
I'm a third year political science student. The course curriculum is updated and thoughtfully organized. It provides an in depth knowledge about the political and economic scenario of the world. Emphasis is given on writing research papers and conducting mock parliament sessions.
Placement Experience
We have good placement services in our institution. Almost 85% of the students on an average are recruited every year. The highest salary package offered is 6 LPA. Some of the top recruiters are- WIPRO, SAIL, IBM, NTPC, VOLTAS, Aditya Birla Group etc.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Our university is partly government aided, therefore the fee structure is not too high. I pay an amount of INR 5000 per year as my course fee in political science hons. It is more or less the same for other B.A departments.
Campus Life
Our institution takes an active participation in all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We organize different departmental events every year. In addition, we also have Sports Meet, Convocation and Alumni Meet, Science Day etc. We celebrate cultural programs and also organize different workshops and seminars.
Hostel Facilities
Our university also provides hostel accommodation at a very economic rate. It is usually availed by the outstation candidates. The hostel environment is quite good and highly secured. There are separate hostel buildings for boys and girls. It has good infrastructural facilities and the hygienic standards are well maintained.
Admission
The minimum eligibility criteria for a candidate to get an admission in NPU is to secure a passing marks in the qualifying examination. Our institution issues online application form which needs to be duly filled and accordingly a list of selected candidates based on merit is published by our university. I had pretty good grades in my Cbse +2 exam, especially in political science and that's how I was selected.
Faculty
We have excellent faculty members in our university. They are masters in their respective domains. Moreover, our department professors are really very supportive and guide us in every aspect. They encourage us to work on various projects and research activities.
