Remarks

the college is one of the best Universities is in Karnataka. It is a very old institution set up in 1963 which adds more to its reputation . the placement opportunities are very good. I will definitely recommend this college to everybody.

Course Curriculum Overview

The masters of Technology program is a two-year program which consists of four equal semesters. The course curriculum is designed with a focus on research. in my stream biotechnology, we have continuous lab sessions and most of our classes are taken in the practical labs only.

Placement Experience

the university is known for its placement opportunities. It is a highly reputed University in Karnataka that's why top companies come for recruitment in the campus. the placement cell of the college is also very active and responsible towards the students.

College Events

Most of the college events are organised by the technical department and the management department. Other events such as freshers, farewell, college day, annual functions also conducted and everyone enjoys a lot in these events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The first year fees in Masters of Technology is rupees 2 lacs, which accounts the total fees to be 4 lakh rupees. The per semester tuition fee is rupees 60,000 and other expenses being 40,000 rupees.

Campus Life

We have seminars and workshops every now and then in the college. Projects and PowerPoint presentations are also done on regular basis. Apart from all this, we have different sports activities and cultural activities as well.

Hostel Facilities

The college provides all the basic facilities in the hostel. There are are two separate buildings for boys and girls and their fees also varies. The muscle is Wi-Fi enabled and has 24 hour water and electricity supply. Hygiene is maintained and the food is also really good.

Admission

I came to know about this college through its online website and applied for it. The selection for the M-tech course is done on the basis of GATE examination, after which there is a small interview and counselling round held by the college.

Faculty

The faculty members of the college are undoubtedly the best. they are teaching in the college since years and years and have a lot of experience in this field. They always clear our doubts and problems.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time

From 7th to 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement and various types big hotel brands, airlines, cruiselines and big companies visit to recruit or give placements to students and average offers are made around 600000 lakhs per annum. Collage provides 100% placement to students and we go for intership twice, once in 3rd semester and second in 8th semester. we can choose whereever we want to do our intership even we can apply for abroad interships. After I complete my degree I am planning to get a job in any international brand or cruiselines then after 2-3 years of experience I will do complete my masters then I will settle down with a nice job in India.
