AIEEE, AIR 26000.This was the best college available during counselling. MANIT was available but with Civil branch and I didn't wanted civil engineering.
Course Curriculum Overview
Curriculum was designed by RGPV university. Was good as I could compare it with my friends in other universities. But had to rely on my father imparting me knowledge of subjects which had bad teachers. Teachers for some subjects were best in Bhopal and worked out greatly.
Internships Opportunities
Internship was to be taken from outside. I went for internship in Thermal Power plant Kota on my own connections. There was no emphasis in college on internship and we failed to reach the level of experience other students gain from different colleges during their internship experiences.
Placement Experience
Standard IT company placements for 90% of batch irrespective of which branch you are from. No double offers were allowed. Placement was one of the best ones in Bhopal but very poor from country's standards.
College Events
There was one technical and cultural festival every year. Fundings were very less, not from college but from our own connections. The event was good anf gave us chance to work in groups for non academic activity. Level of cultural fest was very good and entertaining. Can say again, best kind of in Bhopal. However, nothing compared to big colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
Can't say. Never tried nor know of anyone who availed it. There is an RGPV university level scholarship with the criterion for poor children, not college specific that I know of.
Campus Life
Extra curriculars were given very less importance. Sometimes permission was denied to go into other college fests as well. Campus life was highly academic oriented with strict punishments for those who do not fall in line even if teachers were not good.
Alumni/Alumna
Alumni network was not accessible. Even today there is no alumni network we can tap in for resources and opinions. Connections to batch mates is limited to people you know about.
Exam Structure
Pre university test were internal examination and University test were external examinations. The PUT's were taken seriously and graded regularly. They were at times even tougher than University examinations.
Faculty
Some teachers were good, some were bad. Overall, the total faculty was around 6/10. Only 50-60% faculties were serious with their profession. Rest were just getting paid.
