Course Curriculum Overview
The duration of the course is 2 years which covers the topics related to 10 different types of domains of physics related to Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics, Nuclear Physics, Classical Electrodynamics, Mathematical Methods and Classical Mechanics etc. The course delivery in our college includes lectures, seminars, practical lab work and workshops. In the last 2 semesters we are given a research project to completes which form an integral part of the course syllabus.
Placement Experience
Major private companies such as Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Maruti Udyog, CTS, Wipro etc visits our college to recruit a pool of students such as for the job roles of research associate, research scientist, radiation physicist, research fellow etc. The average starting salary ranges from 5.5 to 10 LPA. Internships in sector such as IT fields, Scientific research companies, government organizations were provided to the students.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fees for first year is 17,890 and the total fees for 2 years is 35,480. This fee structure includes library fees, exam fees, application fees, health insurance, club membership fees, security deposit amount, etc. If I consider this much amount to be paid in a course duration of 2 years then it is very affordable and feasible seeing the facilities offered by the college and the exposure that is provided by our faculty members.
Campus Life
The labs of the college are well equipped and fully digitalis-ed with the latest technology. Inter sports tournaments also happen in our college so as to increase the physical growth of the students. Other cultural activities include drama, essay writing, dancing, singing, face painting, T-shirt dyeing and many more.
Hostel Facilities
Separate hostels are provided to boys and girls. The hostel rooms are spacious and clean with attached bathrooms. Other facilities provided to us are water coolers, WiFi facility, cafeteria and mess food, parking lot, almirah for personal belongings, bed sheets etc. Thus I would rate 4.5/5 for all these amenities provided to us by the college administration.
Admission
The student should have passed B.Sc In their relevant field with at least 50% marks from a recognized university. 40% for the students belonging to the reserved category. Apply online to the college websites and fill in the necessary details. My name appeared in the first merit list as I have secured 85% marks in the bachelor's program. Then I was called for a counselling session and was granted admission in the college.
Faculty
Most of the teachers in our department are PHD holders and lecturers from government colleges. They help us in brushing our concepts and increasing our hold in topics such as Quantum Mechanics, Classical Mechanics, Optics and Electrodynamics. The teachers maintain an open door policy where we can ask them doubts related to our course and topics of physical sciences.
