Remarks
College has good all the infrastructure in place. They need to improve on couple of faculties. Plan more events in terms of interaction with other colleges to understand how their students are groomed. Overall a good experience. Something which has changed my life in a good way.
Entrance Preview
CAT - 60 percentile, MAT - 95 percentile, CET - 84 percentile. I chose Chetana as it is ranked in top 10 colleges in Mumbai. Secondly its quite close to my residence. It also has a good placement record, which is very important. I always wanted to do MBA.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course curriculum was exhaustive and interesting. Lot of subject to learn. Every presentation improved our learning and skills as a presenter. I had taken up Finance as numbers always interested me. FM was the most interesting subject of the lot.
Internships Opportunities
Most of the internships were free. I can barely remember anybody being paid. We had number of companies like Reynold, Amul, Elixir, Zee Marathi, HDFC Bank, Siyaram, AC Nielsen.
Placement Experience
Highest offer was made by Reynolds at Rs. 9 lakhs per annum. Others were Zee Marathi at Rs 5 lakhs, HDFC bank Rs 4.25 lakhs.
College Events
One of the biggest events of the college was held in month of Jan which was a week long event. It consisted of sports and cultural activities. We had number of sports like box cricket, tug of war, football, volleyball, fashion show, dance and so on.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee structure at that point of time was about Rs 3 lakhs for 2 years MBA course. It was feasible for most of the students as most of them belonged to middle class or upper middle class.
Fees and Financial Aid
No, they did not offer any such facility. I feel in India obtaning a education loan for local education is very difficult, but banks are willing to avail loan facility for overseas education.
Campus Life
We had a decent gender ratio at college. If I am not wrong it should be 50:50. We had people from different parts of India like Jaipur, Udaipur, Nagpur, Nashik, Delhi and so on. Economic status of most of the students was mediocre. College didn't have any technical activity as it was a management institute. But sports activity were plenty.
Alumni/Alumna
Yes, we use to have regular interaction with seniors. We use to take their advice in terms of stream and also how to tackle the various presentations. They also advised us the things which can be done to increase placement chances.
Exam Structure
Exams were held twice a year. However there was a on going assessment procedure in terms of presentations, attendance and class participation. It was very hectic and lot of pressure due to long hours of college and then studies and presentation post college.
Faculty
Some faculty were extremely good and some mediocre. But at the end of the day it depends on the students need to learn rather than faculty. Few in house faculty and few visiting faculty were extremely good. Accounts faculty was not really up to the mark.
