Remarks

The college was very good in terms of facilities, studies, Placements, Extra curricular activities, infrastructure, Hostels, mess and over all development of students. College also has good connectivity to any place in the state by the way of Railway stations and Bus stations.

Entrance Preview

I took EAMCET, secured a state rank of 215 and opted for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Branch as I was interested in it and IT was down during that period. This was a government college with a very good history and reputation. The placements from the college were very good. The faculty was very experienced and the EEE branch from my college was one of the best in the state, if not the best of all.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course was very topical covering extensively all the latest market related subjects with an option of electives in 3rd and 4th year. The lab facilities were awesome.

Internships Opportunities

I had taken up my Summer Internship at the Sub-Stations which were linked to the college sub station. My project was about cost savings in electrical power distribution. Being a government set-up. We did not get any stipend during that time, but we got good support and exposure to the live environment. The staff were very cordial in explaining us the systems and processes. All the required help and resources were provided free of cost to us which was more than the worth of any stipend.

Placement Experience

4

There was 100% placement in very good companies in the college. There were both core companies and IT companies which recruited people from all the branches. I was placed in the first company that came to my campus. My First job was at IBM.

College Events

4.5

There were many symposiums and cultural events celebrated. I was part of a few of them. I presented a paper in one of the other colleges as well. The infrastructure at the college is also top-notch.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many banks offer loan facility for those who cannot afford the fee. But since it was a government institution, the fees was very less and scholarships to the backward caste students helped them pay the tution fees etc.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus life is very good. The college has grown leaps and bounds. The placement cell was lead by very efficient professors. Sports activities were always superb. Infrastructure in terms of Gyms, playground etc were all very good.

Hostel Facilities

4

The college was established in the 1940s and was always funded by the state government from the inception. So the fees and the residential accommodation wa free and the mess charges were also very economical.

Alumni/Alumna

My alumni had many high profile people including SP Balasubramanyam ( the famous Singer), Many of them served the nation as scientists and led top positions as CEOs in numerous private and public sector enterprises.

Exam Structure

We had Internal exams in each and every subject and there was an average of all the internal exams that would constitute 20% of the marks. The rest 80% was based on Labs and external exams.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty was top class. There were many Assistant and Associate professors who taught us. Many of them were Phd holders. The subjects taught by faculty from other branches were also by very senior professors.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I have chose mechanical (robotics). As they euipped with new equipment's of robotics I have inspired a lot and chose to go with this course. This course helps to understand the mechanical engineering an also robotics. It helps us to understand about the mechanism in hardware. It helps to understand about robot infrastructure and about drones. For this course if there is more depth in robotics subjects than it can better. The frequency and timing is good as they maintain a certain period of time gap between the exams and the difficulty level is also good. If studied for a week we can understand up to some level and have a chance to pass the exams.
