Remarks

My college has a very strong school of sciences, and I wanted to study under the best minds in the country. And also In Northern India our college ranked 1st in Commerce, 1st in Arts and 2nd in Science streams excluding NCR region.

Course Curriculum Overview

Every year a number of workshops/ seminars/ popular lectures/ scientific quiz & co-curricular activities are organized by the department.Secondly, the Department has also developed excellent training facility and provides short term training and research project programme for external students.

The placement record of this college is very good. College is a very reputed, so many good companies visit our college to hire students. It has the best placements for BBA and probably commerce stream, as compared to the other courses. There is a 100% placement that is the best in quality, but not in quantity, i.e. very few placements.

College Events

College does not have one fest for the whole college, but five fests organised by different departments of the college, each promising its attendees a day filled with fun, games, prizes and obviously out of the world entertainment.

Placements of this college is better than many tier 2 NITs . Students are eligible for placement in 8th semester. If we talk about the top companies visiting PEC, these are Apple, Google, Microsoft, American Express, McKinsey, JP Morgan etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects covered basics like programming, DBMS etc. which is useful in the beginning. But honestly, it's not enough for real - world jobs, so you have to learn extra on your own. Exams were regular and not too tough.

Placement Experience:

For placement students can apply in their last year respectively Top recruiters at UICTE include Reliance, GAIL, Honeywell, ExxonMobil, and Technip, offering many roles, but exact offer numbers aren't publicly available. Highest package for chemical engineering this year is 12 LPA and average is around 5 to 7LPA I want to do something of my own after this degree

There are on compus placement and few companies visit. But very few students are only selected and offered a package of around 5-6 lpa. Oracle, fy, hdfc etc In percentage placement is around 10%. I plan to apply for off campus placements and don't have any plans for mtech or any other cource.

I have chosen GGDSD because in my locality no other college offered this course ghat too a full fledged one. The eligibility for admission depends on various factors and varies from course to course. The candidate must fill the DHE chandigarh form costing 70 Rs before doing anything, as you will not be eligible to fill the admission form if not filled the mentioned(DHE) form. Eligibiltity of my course was just on my 12th class's board percentage. You can find the application form, application fees and application dates on the official website of GGDSD COLLEGE, CHANDIGARH There are reservered seats for specific castes although i am from general category so i did not get any type of reservation. The exams are held every 5 to 6 months after the semester end. And they are held from 9:30am to 12:30pm and 2 pm to 5pm.
