Remarks

I chose this college because it has good placements. I developed interest in electronics in grade 11 and hence the course. It is a reputed college for years now having AA affiliation and NBA affiliation.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was updated in terms of learning not the academic syllabus. We had new electives unlike before which gave us better knowledge. Industrial experience was good since we had people who were a part of the industry before they became professors. We have 4 teachers with PhD and 21 people pursuing PhD from prestigious universities like IIT and IISc.

Internships Opportunities

I had opted for an unpaid internship. But the average stipend for an internship would be 10,000. The process of getting an internship is pretty much the same as that of getting a job. Online test, aptitude, technical round and then the managerial cum HR round.

Placement Experience

4

The placements are good. We have companies like Dell, Endurance, Direct-I, Nokia, PwC, Robert Bosch, Epicor, Philips, L&T, Siemens etc. On an average, about 80 companies visit the campus every year. 82% of the people get placed in the campus.

College Events

5

We have Tech Transform as the technical fest with students participating from over 20 institutions across Bangalore. We organise Utsaha in the cultural section. It is huge because we have artists coming in to showcase their talents along with the students of the institution. Utsaha is a fun fest and hence attracts students from 15 colleges to take part in events such as, Solo and group singing, dancing (solo and group), beatboxing, street dancing, fashion show, band performance etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

I didn't opt for the loan option. I paid everything in cash. I wouldn't know anything about the loan facility. The Allahabad bank which is present inside the campus allows students to take education loans.

Campus Life

We have indoor games like carrom, TT, chess and others. We have basketball court, volleyball court, throwball court and cricket for outdoor sports. Wifi is okay(not great). The library is enough for the people in the institution. They move certain books to BookBank on demand. The books are certainly not in a great condition but serves the purpose. The lab is equipped with apparatus.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel currently has space for 124 girls with five floors of which 4th and 5th floors are specially reserved for management and NRI students. The other three floors have 3 sharing rooms and a common water closet. The 4th and 5th floors have attached water closets with 2 and 4 sharing rooms. The average rent for the first three floors typically ranges from 88k to 1lakh excluding the 10k as deposit money. The average rent for 4th and 5th floors ranges typically between 1.15 lakhs to 1.21 lakhs with the former being the rent for 4 sharing and the latter being the rent for 2sharing (NRIs mostly). Currently 4 buses come to hostel to pick people up and drops them to college. There is washing machine on each floor that can handle 6kg load. There is a pretty big terrace where solar panels are installed for solar water. There are 2 overhead geysers for each floor for usage during the winter. The curfew time for the hostel is 8:30pm and anybody entering past 8:30 will have to go through a series of questions finally resulting in parents being informed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage
