One of the best university in North east region, beautiful campus, no ragging, easy problem solving, and the best thing is the Weather of the place. Faculties are nice and friendly. The university is located in the center of the state

The syllabus was updated in 2018, before it was the syllabus of 2009. The university is covered by natural vegetation. It has fresh environment. Faculties are nice and very friendly. They are ready to help every students. Debashish Bhattacharjee, AM Buphang, A Tiken Singh are very good professors.

For the department of law there has never been any placement to the best of my knowledge. After completion of course students either start practicing in courts, go for higher studies or give other competitive exams. No form of placement available for law department. Students go for internships from college to either Court of law or NGOs for law department, some are suggested by professors. Stipend varies from firm to firm.

Anakalypsi' is a techno-cultural fest organized by School of Technology, NEHU to provide a versatile platform for all the students to learn and explore. Every year university varsity program hold in the university.

FELLOWSHIPS/ SCHOLARSHIPS/STUDENT?S AID FUNDJunior Research Fellowship (JRF) are open to candidates who are not more than 35 years for men and 45 years for women as on 1st July and have obtained a Master?s Degree of a recognised University securing a minimum of 55% marks and have qualified in the National Eligibility Test (NET). UGC may also award fellowships to research scholars who may have cleared NET. A few NEHU Postgraduate Scholarships are available to meritorious students who have passed their Honours degree examinations securing a minimum of 55% marks and are pursuing their postgraduate studies at NEHU. The University at its discretion may also award a scholarship to a fresh candidate of the final class taking into account his/her performance at the previous examination if he/she has obtained at least 55% marks (5% relaxation for SC/ST students). A student who is in full-time employment will not be eligible for these awards or scholarships.Financial assistance to poor and deserving students is provided under Students? Aid Fund for payment of tuition fees, examination fees, purchase of text books, stationery expenses; to meet hostel changes, expenses on clothes and emergency medical expenses; or to grant interest free loans for deserving students and to meet any other needs of the students considered to be genuine by a special committee constituted for the purpose.

The events consist of Cricket, Football, Hockey, boxing, Judo, Best Physique, Weight lifting, Athletics, Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, basketball and Volleyball.The NEHU Central Library is now equipped with high-end computers and other electronic and audio-visual equipment to provide seamless in-house and online services. Following the University Grants Commission's selection of North-Eastern Hill University as a "University with Potential for Excellence", the NEHU Library has launched a major effort to provide the best services through internal reorganisation, optimisation of available resources, launching of innovative services, and by taking the initiative to reach out to the user community through various programmes.

Hostel facilities are truly good. In most hostels, a room is shared by three people(other than the Hostels for International Students). In each hostel, there is Wifi facility and provision of food through clean mess service. Hostel availing is very easy for boys during admission. For girls, getting hostel might be a bit difficult, as it takes some time for complete hostel allotment, but it us madd sure everyone gets hostel facility as soon as the academic session starts.
