Remarks

It is the best engineering college in North karnataka. It has wide range of courses and staff is really efficient and brings out the best from every student. The management is also considered as one of the best.

Course Curriculum Overview

The course syllabus was according to VTU though now the college is autonomous. The faculty is the best and very supportive. Not specific but experienced professors are good. The lab infrastructure is also well designed.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 700000 per year

Placement Experience

I am a computer science student so there were plenty of companies for recruitment.big names like mercedes benz and media.net visited during my placements. The number of hiring students by these companies is quite high. Sometimes pool campus also happens

College Events

GIT is the best college in terms of cultural events. Every year more than 2 cultural events are conducted. There is a huge scope and support for creativity in this college. It has also won several trophies in many of the inter -college fests.

Campus Life

Sports facilities is available. There is separate section for library and the labs also have abundant equipments for experiments. Huge range of books are availlble. WiFi connection is only in labs and library.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel provides all the required facilities.mess is also there for food. There are several cafe in the college campus and a separate college canteen is also present. Both boys and girls hostel are within campus

I would like to rate the course 7 out of 10. Because as these is a distance learning many difficulties occur. I am doing a MBA in ksou after my graduation in b. Com. As ksou comes under UGT it is more helpful for the job seeker. As per my knowledge the faculty should conduct a more classes may be through online so that the working people can attend the classes from wherever they want. There are many distance learning courses in ksou academic platform but they are not handling in a accuracy. They take a lot of time to announce a results, even to conduct a exams they take a lot of time. The question paper are sometimes difficult and the question will be from out of syllabus which will be difficult to attend. Distance learning course is difficult to manage

They provide good curriculum and better syllubus which covers most of the geology and oceanography topics especially physical and chemical oceanography, climatology, hydro geology and other topics but practically they seems little back they doesn't provide new instruments for surveying and oceanography they still following old techniques which is not relevantly used in this time

From 7th to 8th semester students become eligible for campus placement and various types big hotel brands, airlines, cruiselines and big companies visit to recruit or give placements to students and average offers are made around 600000 lakhs per annum. Collage provides 100% placement to students and we go for intership twice, once in 3rd semester and second in 8th semester. we can choose whereever we want to do our intership even we can apply for abroad interships. After I complete my degree I am planning to get a job in any international brand or cruiselines then after 2-3 years of experience I will do complete my masters then I will settle down with a nice job in India.
