Best Time of Life

No entrance examination. Cut-off for counselling is based on 12th marks. My cut-off for the counselling is 182 out of 200. I selected this college this is the best college I was able to get in Chennai since I was under Open Category.

Course curriculum will be decided by Anna University, Chennai as the college is affiliated to Anna University.Course curriculum is really good but not the best. Every 4 years once the Course will get change which will be decided by a committee from Anna University.When I was studying we are the last batch for that 2008 course pattern and also for marks pattern.

As a part of my course there is no internship. So college haven't provided any support for the same as it was a unwanted burden on students and unwanted spending for college.But in my department there will be a minimum one Industrial visit for each semester.Apart from that college also provides necessary support for the in-plant training for the students in the holidays of semester break.

Placements are Above average. If you are all clear candidate you will be placed definitely and guys with arrears will get only KPO/BPO jobs. Most of the companies coming to campus will be IT companies like TCS, Wipro, L&T Infotech and some BPO/KPO Companies. Core companies for Mechanical, Civil and Automobile will be quite less.Core companies pay more than IT Companies.

College provides all support for loan facility. They don't have any scholarship .One can avail some government scholarship money through college only for SC/ST candidates. Apart from they provide prize money of 2000 and 1000 for top two scorers of each semester in each department.

Campus life is one of best and memorable period of my life. Lab facilities are good but they lack a lot in extra curricular and Sports competitions. Gender ratio is quite good with almost 50:50 in overall college.Hostel parties are very memorable.

Alumni network is maintained well. Every year college conducts a alumni meeting in a resort where one can meet students and staffs. I never had a good relationship with seniors may be because of my character or my seniors character. My opinion is college doesn't have a role in it.

Exam structure is not too much hectic. If one attends class regularly without bunking and read only for intermediate tests & before semesters one can easily score more than 80 percent.Labs are quite easy and it happens only once in a week.

Faculty of my college is up to the standard. But the main disadvantage of the faculty is that they lacked innovation and motivation. 90% of faculty knows and has a clear understanding of what they are teaching. Also faculty conduct classes regularly and cover the complete portion without fail.
