A decent, career defining college days

I dint write any entrance examination apart from the higher secondary examination conducted by the state of Tamil Nadu. I scored good marks 192.25 out of 200(cut off).

The course curriculum was as same the one specified by Anna University, the lab facilities were decent enough if not extraordinary. All the instruments and instructors were in place.

As I was in the engineering I haven't had any internship. But the final placements were more than one could ask for. I would say it was extremely good despite the dull market situation.

The placements were one of the top most pros of the college. The recruiters came in large numbers. The offers made were mostly from IT companies. Core companies dint show up during my tenure with the college.

The culturals weren't given priority. We do have annual day celebration. But there was no any specific culturals organised. But the college have its own cultural team. Which have won many prizes in the culturals conducted by other colleges.

The fee structure was on the higher side. Hostel and canteen charges in particular. Other fees like exam fees were not high. The placement training fee was high. Bus fee was more than 20000.

I haven't availed any such loans. But I have seen my friends availing central government scholarships. College doesn't provide any scholarship as such. Not that anything I know of.

It was below average. The food was not up to the standards. Mostly the cleanliness in the canteen could have much better. The rooms are four sharing for the first three years. Three sharing for the final year. Rooms were spacious. There was no proper wifi.

The alumni network is quite strong. Alumni meetings are conducted once a year. Inputs are accepted from the alumni. Few of my seniors are in United States doing their masters. Many are in IT companies.

The exam structure was common to all colleges under Anna University. So there was any specific part from the college management. Internals were conducted regularly, I would say enough time span was provided between the Internals.

The faculty of the college was average, as most of my peers were good self learners, it wasn't a difficult for us to Prepare on our own. I must say the staffs could have been much more experienced.
